I am a developmental cognitive and educational neuroscientist with a fascination for children’s incredible propensity to learn and brain malleability. My research focuses on a showcase of such plasticity: the development of reading skills, a cultural acquisition too recent in evolutionary terms to benefit from any dedicated predisposition, which is further associated with crucial stakes for children’s development and life outcomes.
